Heroes 1.23, How To Stop An Exploding Man
The finale was just the tiniest bit disappointing to me. There were a lot of things they did that it was obvious they were doing only for dramatic emphasis, like DL sitting around with a bullet in him the whole episode, and Sylar managing to stop the bullets Matt shot at him but not being able to stop Hiro from stabbing him after he'd announced his presence, and Nathan showing up in the nick of time and having enough time to have a little chat with Peter and Claire before Peter exploded. And honestly, why didn't they just let Claire shoot him? Because then he could have recovered from that, not exploded, and had time to learn how to control Ted's power. Then we wouldn't have to spend the summer wondering if Nathan let him go before he exploded and now he's going to get cancer in twenty years, or if he's dead.

Matt better not be dead. The end.

This whole "badder bad ass than the Bogeyman" thing Molly dropped was kind of stupid too. Couldn't they at least have waited till next season to start introducing a new Bad Guy? Because we all know that the show is coming back, so why not take the time to give the new Bad Guy a good lead in? This is what you get for killing ALL the Bad Guys in season one, people: bad lead ins for new Bad Guys!

Except Sylar isn't dead yet.

You know what I would really like to see next season? More people without powers. One of the reasons I love Audrey's character so much, aside from the fact that I just adore Clea DuVall, is that she was the balance to Matt's power. She was the one who stopped him from going off all half-cocked and kept reminding him that he needed something more to go on than hearing a thought. I loved Zach because he was the person Claire leaned on for normalcy and support when she was coming into her powers. Ando I love because he's the encouragement Hiro needs to keep going. I don't even need to start on why Mohinder is awesome. If you haven't figured out why he rocks, there's something wrong.

I was going to say something nice about Janice Parkman here, too, but after rewatching Unexpected, I realized that I really just don't like her character. It's more than just that I love Matt to tiny pieces, and have an interest in Matt/Audrey, it's that she's an obnoxious character. I was kind of disappointed, too, because I'd half way convinced myself that she could be a good character and I just hadn't given her enough of a chance. But it turns out that I don't like her at all. Oh well.

I guess I might as well add here that I don't really know why everyone hated Simone so much, aside from the fact that lots of people wanted Peter/Claire and Simone was in the middle of that. I liked Simone. She could have been a good character if they hadn't killed her.

LOST tonight. YAY!
