LOST, 3.19 The Brig
First: yes, I am totally listening to songs from Chitty Chitty Bang Bang.

Second, First of all, HOW could I have forgotten about Sayid?! Honestly, when the Fantastic Four were discussing who they could trust to tell about Naomi, I completely forgot about Sayid, even though he was the obvious, logical choice. That tells me that they aren't doing enough with his character lately.

Naomi is a smart ass. I like her.

I don't have any idea what to make of the fact that they supposedly found the plane and all the bodies of the people who were in it. So I'm not gonna think about that much.

Locke's dad called Ben Bug Eye. THAT is my new nickname for the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, because it rocks. On the subject of the Big Bad Voodoo Daddy, aka Zep, aka Henry Gale, aka Bug Eye, aka Ben, that guy really, really bugs me. I've put him and Candace from Heroes at the number one spot of my "Villains Who Annoy the Shit Out of Me" list.

I am very disappointed with Locke these days. He used to creep me out big time, but now I'm finding him kind of... I dunno, wishy washy, I guess. First he believes fanatically in pushing the button. Then he believes fanatically in not pushing the button. Then he changes his mind. Then he wants to be an Other, but when the Others decide he's too much of a pussy, he decides he's going to con someone into doing his dirty work. He just needs grow a pair and learn to make up his mind. He could be a very awesome bad guy, or a very valuable good guy, but right now, when he's wavering between the two, he's just annoying. Leading Sawyer off into the woods to settle the score he has with Daddy Dearest was just ridiculous. That being said, at first I was really confused as to why they chose Sawyer for the job. I thought Kate or Jin or Sayid would have been a way better choice. But then Daddy Dearest, hereafter referred to as Big Sawyer, dropped the bomb, and I was like "Oh. Bye then, Mr. Big Sawyer." That was definitely not something I expected. It's also something I'm not terribly thrilled about. It seems like a sort of afterthought, where someone just went "Hey, let's see if we can sell this idea!" But was anyone else absolutely heartbroken when Sawyer pulled that letter out of his back pocket? Because I totally was. And after that, I was actually rooting for Sawyer to kill him.

Locke's dad was, in my opinion, the most annoying kind of bad guy. Pompous, self-centered, uncaring, and chicken shit, all rolled into one.

Kate needs to chill the fuck out and stop trying to provoke Jack into fights.

Juliet is so awesome, and hot, and way, way cooler than Kate. Regarding next weeks episode, they need to hurry up and realize that Juliet is pretty much Sun's only chance of survival and let her do her thing. Because no matter what they think, she's got something up her sleeve. Ben had her conned into coming to the island, he's basically held her prisoner there for three years, he's essentially put her sister in the middle of a baited trap and didn't even try to hide the fact that that's what he was doing, and she hates him more than anyone else on the island hates him. Instead of automatically jumping on her case, what they need to do is team up with her. With Naomi on the island, as a possible rescue option, she doesn't have as much to tie herself to the Others. The survivors would do well to take advantage of that. "The enemy of my enemy is my friend" and all that jazz.

So. Yeah. Go LOST.
